I work with hair as both material and memory ,as is very personal full of energy and stories. Is the most ecological fiber that excist and is available everywhere. It grows in different colors and textures. It's soft and spiky at the same time. A single strand is very fine, but together they are unexpectedly strong. Out of all the materials I’ve worked with hair is the one my hands knows best. The hair I use comes from my own salon clients, donations from other salons or third-cycle leftovers from a wig maker. I have learned a veriety of craft methods like felting , spinning it into yarn or rope, weave it, or use as a components mixing it with other materials as cement or pine wax example. In functional objects like, flower vessels ,I treat hair simply as a keratin fiber: material, texture, function. But in more narrative sculptures.I consider where each hair came from, the lives it touched, and the traces of identity and change it carries. Hair is my language. It chose me and it keeps giving , opening possibilities for my creative mind to explore.
