Rescue Strands

Rescue Strands brings our research into an art form. Together with LAB University, we studied how cut hair collected from salons across Finland could be used to absorb oil from waterways. We developed large hair booms for harbors to collect small oil spills left by boats.

This long braid became an artistic statement of that research: hair can help clean our waterways.
