Workshop: Create your own plant pot

€150.00

Welcome to a workshop where you will create your own felted plant soil cover or plant pot — a soft, natural container for your favourite plant! The workshop combines craft, creativity, and unique knowledge about the hair fibers possibilities. Is suitable for both beginners and more experienced makers.

What we will do

You will learn the basics of the material and different wet and needle felting techniques: hair and wool as fibers, the use of soap and water, and methods ranging from layering to shaping. Posibility for felting machine use also.

You will create your own felted “shell” to fit your plant. You can choose the size, colour, and structure — making a shallow bowl, a taller pot, or even a hanging planter.

We will finish and shape the felted pot together.

A felted pot is breathable and natural, making it especially suitable for slowly growing plants. You will also receive guidance on adapting the pots for indoor or outdoor use and, if needed, waterproofing. After the course, you will have the knowledge to continue working at home and create more botanical art pieces for your living or outdoor space.

Practical information

Duration: approximately 2–3 hours (depending on size and level of detail)
Group size: small and warm-hearted, maximum 5 participants, allowing plenty of personal guidance
What to bring: if you wish, you may bring your own fibers — wool, human hair, or dog or cat hair — to make the piece more personal. Otherwise, all materials and tools are included in the price.

Inspiring extras: you may choose to create a supportive base structure using a hair and cement mix. This involves basic mold-making and can be started during the workshop and finished later. Please mention this option when booking.
